Matthew Thurber's take on the art school comic is idiosyncratic, to say the least.  Mixing obsessions, NYC art world celebrities, an Ivanhoe art performance (not really) and a prayed for imagined return of Jesus (sort of) into a zany, surreal comics cocktail, Art Comic lives up to it's name.  Let's hope that it's inclusion of "No. 1" in its title is not ironic, so that we can look forward to more.
