Night Bus is the English language debut of Chinese comics maker Zuo Ma*, a native of Zhijiang in Hubei province. It is a collection of a dozen comics pieces, of which the titular work is by far the longest, as it runs over half of the collection's 400 pages.  So, another way to look at it is that Night Bus is a graphic novel that includes a bonus of eleven short comics stories.  All the works share a lyrical "magical realism" that is likely to remind some readers of Hayao Miyazaki, but with considerably more gritty details than one will encounter in a Miyazaki work.  If that sound interesting, then be sure to check out this high-resolution preview, it's worth a look.
