Synapses is a working through of multiple traumas, grief and loss via a series of abreactive comics that take multiple forms and engage with multiple styles of drawing and representation. Roughly the first half – 64 pages – is in black and white with grey tones. The second half then abruptly shifts to full color for the remainder of this 112 page volume. It is a book more experieinced than read.
