Soft is Jane Mai's handy, 116 page graphic novel that tenderly relates a tale of navigating the tricky crossroads of friendship at the intersection with young (gay) love.  Employing a riff on Sheridan Le Fanu's vampire tale, Carmilla, it is filled with fine, friendly approachable drawing that successfully evokes the "soft" of the title.  This is the "Director's Cut" edition of a work that was "first published in Sweden in 2015."
