Inspired by part of the creation mythology of the Modoc, a small tribe of American Indians currently residing in the pacific northwest, Little Gods "embraces some of the main themes and symbolism" from the story Mount Shasta and the Grizzly Bears, which Zawacki "diverted into an alternate, female focused mythology." Rendered in delicate black line colored in a rich, earthy palette of blues, greens and (mostly deep and burnt) oranges, the tale begins with the adventures of the family of Sky God, before focusing on one of the daughters, who is dubbed Bunny Girl by Raven after a chance meeting. And the story goes from there!

Here in the pages of this unique, black and white saddle-stitched comics anthology, M.S. Harkness brings together a cadre of her comics creating comrades to produce some of their trademarked autobio comics... but with a twist. Here, the creators, instead of writing and drawing their own stories, as per usual, instead share the duties, with each of the contributors drawing the story of another. Makes for some interesting results, to say the least. Copacetic mainstay, Nate McDonough's own tale of inner isoloation is drawn by Ms. Harkness, while he in turn illustrates Fifi Martinez's tale of a bad connection. And that spiffy cover is by Alex Graham.
