New Moebius! Yes! While this is a French language publication, this 200 page hardcover printed on flat, off-white stock consists primarily of a collection of detailed pen and ink drawings of "the fauna of Mars" – 72 in black and white, and 16 in full color. There is an introductory eight page interview with Moebius conducted by Hervé le Guyader that is conducted entirely in French, but within the work itself there is very little text accompanying the images – and what images! Moebius unleashes his creative imagination in these drawings which provide an uncanny sense of "the other" in that they almost all include a representation of a humanoid form Earth fauna for the purpose of contrast and scale.

Wow! It's the return of Major Grubert. Billed as "one more voyage through the nebula of The Airtight Garage," Le Major is a 336 page* hardcover volume that was "realized between 1997 and 2009" and that "combines graphic flair and intense concentration according to a principle dear to Moebius of improvisation without a net". In other words, this is more of a "live album" than a "studio release."
Please note that this volume is an import from France that is entirely in French.
*Nearly all the images are printed on the right leaf of each page spread, with the left leaf left blank. Thus, while the pagination indicates that this volume runs 336 pages, the work itself runs just over half that.

Moebius's late masterpiece, 40 Days dans le Desert B has at long last been reissued – now, for the first time in hardcover. 40 Days comprises a series of 70 consecutive drawings done at the close of the millenium as part of / as a result of his decision to stop getting high (i.e. smoke pot). If only all such decisions yielded such amazing results!
This is a French edition and all text is in French. However, after the two page introduction by Isabelle Giraud, the body of the work is accompanied by only sporadic text. THe images speak for themselves – and do so quite eloquently. This volume includes several full color drawings not included in the original.
