  There will be tables packed with locally produced zines and books for both perusal and sale, as well as new releases from our out-of-town artist guests and a selection from around the world. 

First the bad news:   This only affects our international customers -  On Monday 29 January 2013, the US postal system drastically increased the cost of international shipping,  by 30% - 50%, across the board!  As a result we have correspondingly raised our shipping charges - on international shipments only - which are now much higher.  International customers may contact us ahead of placing an order to request a custom invoice.  In some cases this will result in lower shipping costs.  It's the best we can offer at this time.

Now, for the good news!  We recently made a special purchase of some (really) great collections of comics classics from Fantagraphics that we are now offering at such substantial savings that even our international customers will save a bundle, depsite the hefty shipping increases.  And, of course, our customers here in the States will really be getting over!  We are pleased to be able to offer these fine collections of work by Roy Crane, Alex Toth,  Basil Wolverton and Gahan Wilson, all of whom are among our favorites.  You can view a photo of some of the items along with a few direct links, over at our Facebook™ page, or just click on the "SALE!" link at the top of this page, and then head to page 2 to see more titles.

Saturday, December 8, 2012 - ONE NIGHT, TWO BOOKS!

The CMU School of Art meets Polish Hill for a double launch party.   Join us from 6:00pm to 8:00pm for an evening of art student projects about life in and the lives of this storied Pittsburgh neighborhood.  

Book Release #1: Un,tied States, edited by Mark Schroder

Un,tied States is an anthology of translations of 'stories' collected in Polish Hill, scripted around the globe, and illustrated in Pittsburgh, PA.

Book Release #2: At Sixteen: Faces of Polish Hill Reimagined as 16-year-olds by Jessica Aguero

At Sixteen is a collection of portraits based on participants' descriptions of how they looked, dressed, and behaved at age 16. 

Both creators will be on hand to discuss their work.
