This 320 hardcover is a hyrid graphic novel:  primarily consisting of the engrossing story of Ada, Countess of Loelace (and Lord Byron's daughter) and Charles Babbage as they together worked on the creation of the enormous calculating machine that can be argued marks the first glimmering rays of the dawn of the computer age; to this is then intermixed blocks of descriptive and explicatory text to vring readers up to speed with the concepts and mechanics behind the story.
