This graphic novel, which was originally published in 1997, has just been re-released to celebrate its being adapted as the latest motion picture by acclaimed director David Cronenberg.  An archetypal account of how the past always catches up with you no matter how hard you might try to keep it at bay, it is a gruesomely violent portrayal of the consequences of breaking the social contract for personal gain.
