Set comics power to maximum stun... and fire!  Consuming the comics of Massimo Mattioli collected here under the title Joe Galaxy Comics is more akin to receiving jolts of energy transmitted along wires grafted to pleasure centers of the brain than reading as the clean line and bold colors of these comics plunge straight through the optic nerves of the male gaze to stimulate the brain through an extravanganzic lollapalooza of consumer culture in all its glory, with an æsthetic spawned under the ægis of the church of Looney Tunes in an unholy union of golden age comics and silver age television commercials raised on a diet of psychedilc era bande dessinée.  Or something like that.
