............................... A mere twelve years after the second volume of Jesse Moynihan's Forming was released by NoBrow, we now, at last – finally! – have not only the concluding volumes, but the entire saga all together in one, very nicely produced, heavy duty hardcover edition.
The first two volumes totalled 240 pages, and this monster volume runs 448 – with not a wasted page – so, we would say that you're looking at, roughly, two additional volumes worth here. And, condsidering the first two volumes retailed for $30 each (over ten years ago, so plenty of inflationary price pressures in that interval), and this complete collection runs $49.99, it's a fair price even if you already bought the first two volumes – and an amazing bargain – not to mention a mind blowing read – for all of those who have yet to experence any of this cosmic epic that's the fruit of fifteen years labor.
Thia volume has been beautifully printed in crsip black lines with fully saturated colors and produced on heavy, toothy, off white stock which has been smyth sewn into a sturdy embossed hardcover; a package that is very similar in overall production to the just-released (also by Fanta) complete collected Peepshow. Sammy Harkham is credited with book design on this one, and Paul Baresh with production; so, kudos to both!
We'll be back with more to say in a bit, but as it's just out of the box here at Copacetic, we're going to direct you to this illustrated interview with Mr. Moynihan up on AIPT – HERE.
