The leading feminist comics historian, Trina Robbins is back with another fine oversize hardcover collection that unearths otherwise-impossible-to-find early comics by women, this time from the 1920s, aka "The Jazz Age". Nell Brinkley leads things off with what serves as an encore to her earlier collection, also edited by Trina and published by Fantagraphics (but now, sadly, out of print), and is followed by samplings of the work of Eleanor Schorer, Edith Stevens, Ethel Hays, Fay King and Virginia Huget. All are accompoanied by brief introductory essays by Ms. Robbins. Enjoy!
