OUT OF STOCK!
Just in case you were distracted by current events and missed hearing, we thought we'd let you know that Rhino and Elektra have teamed up to present deluxe 2-Disc repackings of the original Stooges albums, and we have them. In each package the first disc presents the original LP in its entirety and the second contains rare and previously unrealsed material (although in the case of Funhouse, all of this additional material is culled from the recently issued but now out-of-print super-deluxe 7-CD box set of the complete Funhouse sessions). The Stooges bonus contains four tracks from John Cale's original mix, four alternate vocals, and -- most exciting of all -- the complete original versions of "Anne" and "No Fun" which were, it turns out, edited for their release on The Stooges. In addition, each package includes an illustrated booklet replete with rare photos and new liner notes. These two records were startling prophecies which changed the face of rock music in ways that were completely unimaginable at the time of their original release 35 years ago.
