This article – which is filled with links – reminds us that MLK was a preeminent proponent of resisting, fighting the power and loudly proclaiming that black lives matter, and that we can best honor his memory by doing the same.

Mt. Lebanon Library Comics Festival

Posted on 09 November 13:11 (over 6 years ago)

On the evening of Saturday, November 18, from 6:30 to 8:30pm, Copacetic will be making a rare foray into the South Hills of Pittsburgh to participate in the first Lebo Comics Festival at the Mt. Lebanon Public Library, located at 16 Castle Shannon Blvd (15228). We should note here that we will be in “display only” mode, and so will be offering anyone stopping by a chance to scope out a heaping helping of the copious fall releases currently displayed in the shop on the Copacetic new arrivals tables, which are, in their spectacularity, vying with the natural display of fall itself.  We’ll also be highlighting Made in Pittsburgh productions.  And, lest there be any doubt, Copacetic is just one small part of the festival – there will be plenty of other comics-related activities, most notably comics making workshops led by the Comics Workbook team!  Learn more HERE.  (Please note: as a result of our participation in this event, the shop will be closing at 5:00pm on this date.)
