Rayco Pulido's Ghostwriter is a tale of derangement that doubles as an engaging mystery.  Set in Spain during its fascist era, its narrative serves as a biting critique of that eras hypocrisies.  We don't want to give too much away here, as that is one of this text's primary pleasures.  The other is its art.  Any Love and Rockets fans jonesing for some of those crisp lines combined with solid black placement working together in well balanced compositions that are the Jaime H. trademark will find the next best thing here.  Pulido obviously studied Jaime quite closely and has clearly spent some time honing his chops, as he really delivers in the 96 magazine size pages of this value-priced, hardcover edition Ghostwriter.  Fantagraphics has provided a nice preview here (scroll down to the bottom of the page for the preview), so you can get an idea of what we're talking about.
