Crumb's work owes an ineradicable debt to Wolverton's, and even such disparate artists as Bob Burden and Chris Ware have appropriated bits of Wolvertonia; and that's just for starters; without Wolverton's example Mad  might never have come into being... you get the idea.).  Check out this collection and you'll see what we're talking about.
