Yes, believe it or not, here's another major work from Tillie Walden – to add to her already copious opus – which she wrapped up in time for her 30th birthday; how?!  This is her first work for Drawn & Quarterly, who have provided a worthy edition that well complements Walden's work here. Charity & Sylvia is a very nicely produced, embossed, smyth-sewn hardcover, printed in duo-tone and running 264 pages.  Walden sticks largely to a 12-panel grid throughout, which works well to communicate the unrelenting demands put upon the protagonists and results in a rich work that weaves a rich tapestry of interactions between environment, society and character to forge a unique and personal herstory.
