With issue three of Frank Santoro's idiosyncratic analysis of Ohio cartooning, Caniffer, we zero in on the relationship bewteen Noel Sickles and Milton Caniff and their respective influences on and interractions with Mel Graff, who carried on the "Ohio" tradition. This time around, Santoro's typewritten text is primarily interspersed with reproductions of archival newspaper strips accompanied by his own handwritten notes and diagrammatic illustrations.
