The Sylvia Chronicles is sub-titled, "30 Years of Graphic Misbehavior from Reagan to Obama."  Yes, she's been around awhile.  Nicole Hollander was a pioneer of feminist sensiblities in the syndicated newspaper comics strip, preceding – and influencing – both Lynda Barry and Alison Bechdel with her observational wit and cutting satire.  This volume is organized by theme, and makes the perfect introduction to this great strip.
