Steve Stelling's 24-page digest-sized comicszine is printed on heavy stock with a hand-printed cardstock cover.  It's six comics works  -- "Pacts", "Pitch White", "Bluegreen Acres", "Engine Ears", "Newbergs", and "Department of Classics" -- each present a series of images that serve to tease out the multivalent qualities of the accompanying text.  The reader is subjected to a series of surprises and mild shocks that range for delightful to disturbing, as various linkages between word and image are explored.  At times, it's a bit like exploring a cave with only a headlamp for illumination; you never know what the next words will lead you to see.  There's a remote kinship here to the work of Michael Kupperman, in its ability to set reality off-kilter, but it's closer in spirit to the work of Warren Craghead III and Andrew White.  That said, there's nothing else quite like it.  Recommended to those who like to reflect while they read.  You will find some of these comics, and plenty more in a similar vein HERE.  Check it out!
