Jonathan Case delivers a sharp looking period piece.  Set in the Waldorf Astoria of the 1930s, The New Deal views the goings on there through the eyes of the staff, and in the process confronts -- albiet from a 21st century perspective -- race, class and gender relations and the preconceptions that go with them oin this nice looking fast-paced graphic novel, that makes for a fun and diverting read.  Full size, black and white, hardcover edition.
