Ed Subitzky is probably best know for his work in National Lampoon, and that is what makes up the bulk of this collection – but there's plenty more! Included here is work Subitzky created for such diverse publications as The New York Times, Nozone Comics, Natural History Magazine, The American Bystander, and The War on the Poor:  Defense Manual.

While the comics and cartoons collected within stretch all the way to 2016, this volume has the look and feel (and fonts!) of a book from the 1970s, making for a bit of a perceptual, temporal round trip, back to the beginning.
