Wow! At last! We here at Copacetic are excited that this has finally been released and are looking forward to poring over each and every page. The Strange Tale of Panorama Island is an adaptation of a novella by Edogawa Rampo – widely considered the godfather of Japanese detective fiction – that runs to 272 pages. It was originally serialized in Japanese in Comic Beam from 2007 to 2008. This edition presents a translation by Ryan Sands and Kyoko Nitta in a book beautifully designed by Evan Hayden - who also provided the English lettering. Set in 1920s Japan, it involves a wealthy industrialist, death, impersonation, hedonism and, above all, secrets and mysteries – Suehiro Maruo's forte.
