John P. certainly is a dreamer, and in more ways than one, as this issue demonstrates. Dreams are described, depicted and shared here; there's a lot! That dreams are a particular focus of this particular publication should come as no surprise, as once you zoom out and take the long view, you can see that the entire King-Cat enterprise is a dream realized.
This issue's adaptations – or, if your prefer, translations (from text into comics) – of classic Japanese poetry are particularly adept and reveal his strong kinship to the form – which he then embodies in an original piece of his own, "Juncos", that successfully embodies this tradition.
