Undiscovered by the Copacetic Comics Collector Archival Organization (CCCAO) at the time of the the publication of Return to Romance, the acquisition of this story created an earthquake in the Ogden Whitney Department, as it provided a key that unlocked access to the inner nature of the content of that extra layer of consciousness inserted into Whitney's stories: the dramatization, employing role playing, of the relationship between the social elements and formal qualities of gender construction, and the dynamic so engendered, articulated through comics.  

In the thirteen, masterfully executed, power-packed pages of “Comic Valentine” – reproduced here in digest-size (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") from high resolution scans of the original comic book – the symbolic world of Ogden Whitney is revealed; plus an amazing one-pager as a back cover bonus!   We couldn’t have asked for a better work for the launch of Copacetic Comics Classics.   Look for future issues… eventually.
