Pittsburgh-based polymath, Todd Sanders served as both translator and publisher of this bilingual edition of this epic poem of resistence written by Robert Desnos amidst the Second World War, in 1943.  The original French appears on the left, translation on the right.  This volume also includes Notes Calixto, the notes and commentary penned by Desnos in the margins of the manuscript of Calixto during its creation.

The inaugural release of Pittsburgh-based Air and Nothingness Press, The Secret Book for Youki is a bilingual (original French on left; English translation on facing page) edition of poems by Robert Desnos selected and translated by Todd Sanders.  These love poems were all penned in the early 1930s, at the start of the lifelong (for Desnos) relationship between Desnos and Lucie Badoul, aka Youki.
