In acknowledgement (and, to a very limited degree, in support) of the “Mass Blackout” organized by Blackout the System, that is being promoted to encourage people to refrain from shopping and spending unnecessarily during the traditional shopping frenzy that takes place around Thanksgiving weekend – this year from November 25 to December 2 – and so send a message to corporate America (especially its financial arm) that consumer choice extends to not buying anything in order to effectively embody the principle that people have the power, Copacetic won't be running any "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" sales this year (although we may have a special or two after this period has passed).
Ultimately, the greatest benefit of the Mass Blackout will be to free up more time in which participants can relax and enjoy each others' company (instead of running around shopping). Here's wishing you and yours a safe and low-stress holiday season.
