Will Eisner's Armed Services Work

The ToonSeum will have a presentation of Will Eisner's work on P*S with the U.S. Army. Then will will show the biographical DVD, Will Eisner: Portrait of a Sequential Artist

Presenters: Comic Historians and Lecturers Bill Boichel (The Copacetic Comics Company) and Warren Bernard (Author and Executive Director of the Small Press Expo (SPX).

Program: Will Eisner is justly celebrated as one of the founders of both the comic book – during the 1930s and '40s – and graphic novel – during the 1970s and ‘80s – but few are aware that he spent the two decades in-between working for the US Army putting together P*S: The Preventative Maintenance Monthly magazine. Tonight’s talk with explore this important but little known period of Eisner’s career.
