The Finnish comics collective, KutiKuti is back in the USA, courtesy of Living the Line. Roihu – which translates as “burst of flame” (and is also the astronomical term for solar flare) – is an all-new anthology featuring twelve Finnish comics makers. Edited by Amanda Vahamaki and Emma Valve, it takes the physical form of a French-flapped softcover presenting 100+ duotone – midnight blue and burnt orange – pages printed on glossy stock, featuring works ranging from childhood remembrances of things childhood to meditations on the present, with plenty in-between.
It is the second in a series that began with Tihku.
