Distant Flame is the latest project from Chicago-based, indie-comics stalwart, Lane Milburn.  It's an ongoing series featuring all-new material.  This premiere issue features the first installment ("Act 1") of "The Law of Contagion."  The story focuses on a black metal band at the center of which are the dyad of Devin and Keith.  Introverted and extroverted, respectively, they are two sides of the same coin, with Ketih's dark, somewhat psychotic (and potentially violent) side more immediately apparent.  Where will it all lead?  This issue's 56 magazine-size pages, all crisply printed in black & white with gray tones will get you started down the road – driving late at night, somewhat under the influence...
